Dolan, Eileen F.
Eileen F. Dolan, 98, of Ryan, died Sunday, May 15, 2011. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Ryan, by the Rev. John Flaherty. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, with a 4 p.m. rosary service at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, Manchester, and one hour before services Saturday at the church. Burial: Calvary Cemetery, Ryan.
Eileen was born August 8, 1912, in Ryan, the daughter of Daniel Lyness and Margaret Burke. She graduated from St. John's High School in Ryan, and then attended State Teachers College in Cedar Falls. On June 28, 1947, Eileen was united in marriage to Clair F. Dolan. Eileen taught elementary school for 20 years.
Eileen was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Ryan.
Eileen is survived by three children, Cate Dolan, Margaret (Charlie Moore) Dolan and Julie (Bruce) Dolan Frana; three grandchildren, Tito Herrera-Moro, Maura Frana and Gabe Frana; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Peg Lyness, Ozzie (Marge) Dolan, Cecile (Jim) Salz, Emmet (Jeane) Dolan and AnnaMae Dolan.
Eileen was preceded in death by her husband, Clair Dolan in July 1969; her parents, Daniel and Margaret Lyness; and siblings, Dolores Zieser, Stella McEnany, Thomas Lyness, Regina Donahue, Mariam Vifian, Louise McEnany, Bernard Lyness and Marcella Leonard.
