Dixon, Diana Sue
Diana Sue Dixon, 67, of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, died at her home on Thursday morning, Aug. 29, 2013.
Born May 14, 1946, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Byron and Marquerite Smith Yeager. She married Harley Watkinson in 1964, and they later divorced. She married Dinney J. Dixon in 1999.
Diana was a homemaker and caretaker. She enjoyed cooking for her family, canning different types of foods and collecting any type of doll. She also enjoyed playing X-Box 360 video games, especially Sky Rim and Oblivion 4. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her husband, Dinney; one son, Chad (Mary) Watkinson of Burlington, Iowa; one daughter, Deborah Watkinson of Mount Pleasant; seven grandchildren, Trevor, Justin, Katlyn, Cassondra, Katherine, John and Ella; three great-grandchildren, Eliana, Tanner and Levi; three brothers, Arthur Yeager of California, Carl Yeager of Casper, Wyo., and Don Yeager of St. Paul, Minn.; and one sister, Barbara Ann Wheeler of Center Point, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dennis Yeager; one son, Alex Watkinson; and two infant grandchildren.
Funeral services for Diana Sue Dixon will be 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Prugh's Chapel, Burlington, Iowa. Pastor Michael D. Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening, Sept. 5, from 6 until 7:30 p.m. at Prugh's Chapel.
A memorial has been established in memory of Diana Dixon.
