Dixie Wentland, 80, of Hartwick, died on Monday, July 12, 2021, at UnityPoint-St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021, at St. Bridget Catholic Church in Victor. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Victor. A reception will follow at St. Bridget Catholic Church.
Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday at the Smith Funeral Home in Victor and her family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. A rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be designated to University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital and mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 485, Victor, IA 52347. Memories and condolences may be shared with Dixie's family online at www.smithfh.com.
Dixie is survived by three daughters, Carla (Joel) Kelling of Grinnell, Carma (Reynold Brown) Artzer of Victor and Cindy (Waylon Ary) DeBrower of Victor; son, Michael Wentland of Lincoln, Neb.; eight grandchildren, Justin Kelling, Tanner, Randi, Reed and Cheyan DeBrower, Jade Cooling and Amelia and Ruby Wentland; and her siblings, Colene Kent of Holiday Lake, Margaret (Royce) York of Montour and Daniel Timm of Victor. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Margaret (Grier) Timm; husband, Charles "Mike" Wentland; granddaughter, Nicole Kelling; son-in-law, Greg DeBrower; brother, Gary Timm; and sister, Marlene Mathes.
