Dixie Lee Weber, 78, passed away at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital on Dec. 7, 2023, from pancreatic cancer. Cedar Memorial is assisting the family and private family services will be held at a later date.
Dixie was born on Aug. 6, 1945, to Stuart and Francis Leggett and raised in Scotch Grove on the family farm. She graduated from Monticello High School. She married Richard Weber in 1967 and they moved their family to Marion. Dixie was a hair dresser and food service manager at Linn Mar School District. She enjoyed doing oil paintings, wood working and crafts. After her divorce she moved to Arizona to spend time with her aunt and uncle. Dixie returned to Monticello, and spent time with her parents until they passed away. She spent the last several years living with her son in Cedar Rapids.
Dixie is survived by her children Michael (Diane) Weber, Rodney Weber and Jennifer (Nick) Fetzer; grandchildren Zachary Logan, Alison, Jakob, Kyle, Evelyn and Bryant; great-grandson Grayson; her sister Barbra (Denis) Paulson and sister-in-law Jackie Leggett; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Douglas Leggett and ex-husband Richard Weber.
