Dixie Bailey, 89, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at Crestview Acres in Marion. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at St. Wenceslaus Church
in Cedar Rapids.
Dixie was born Feb. 26, 1927, the daughter of Henry and Bertha (Knight) Bailey. Dixie enjoyed playing her guitar.
She was preceded in death by her parents; six siblings, Kenneth, Glenn, Maxine, Electa, Evora and Buddy; niece, Susan; and nephews, Steve and Terry.
Left to cherish Dixie's memories are her niece and three nephews and their spouses and several great- and great-great-nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Mercy Hospice and Crestview Acres staffs for their care.
Memorials in Dixie's memory may be directed to Mercy Hospice or St. Wenceslaus Church.
