Dion "Don" O'Loughlin,
80, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017,
at his home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at Peace Christian Reformed Church, 6600 C Ave. NE, in Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. Gary Brouwers. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion. Murdoch Funeral Home &
Cremation Service, Marion,
is assisting the family with arrangements.
Dion was born Jan. 27, 1937, on a farm in Washington County, the son of Harlan and Louise (Shafer) O'Loughlin. He graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Iowa, in 1955
and from Coe College in Cedar Rapids in 1961. Don was united in marriage to Patricia Hill on Feb. 3, 1960, in Marengo. He worked as an insurance adjuster and owned his own business, Merry Maids.
Don was a member of Peace Christian Reformed Church.
Don is survived by his wife, Patricia O'Loughlin of Marion; son, Michael O'Loughlin (Hector Cuebas) of Marion; daughter, Janice (LeRoy) Gill of Lynchburg, Va.; grandson, Zachery Sohner of Chesapeake, Va.; granddaughter, Lindsey Parrish of Virginia Beach, Va.; and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed to Peace Christian Reformed Church.
