Dietz, Deborah R. 'Deb'

Deborah R. “Deb” Dietz, 50, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at the Washington County Hospital following a sudden illness. Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 2, at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will take place at the Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, Iowa.

Memorials have been established for Washington County Hospice or the American Cancer Society.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Dietz of Washington; daughter, Kellie Hanson and husband Zach of Washington; son. Corey Dietz and fiancee Sheila Stauffer and their children, Taylor and Jacob of Iowa City; son, Adam Dietz and special friend Abbie Woodburn of Washington; parents, Ed and Evelyn Gray of Washington; brother, Mike Gray and wife Teri of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and brother, Lee Gray and wife Judy of Concord, N.C.

She is also survived by her aunt, Virgie Elliott of Bel Air, Md.; mother-in-law, Pat Herman and husband Louis of Sigourney; and several cousins.
