Dianne R. Wuchter, 57, of Manchester, formerly of Earlville, died Thursday, April 9, 2015, at her home, surrounded by her family, after a short illness. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 13, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave. SW, in Dyersville. Friends may continue to call from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Petersburg. Private inurnment will be at a later date.
Diane was born Jan. 21, 1958, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Rose (Scherbring) Hansel. She graduated from Beckman High School with the class of 1976. She married Jake Wuchter in 1984 and had their son, Chris, in 1985. They later divorced.
For 33 years, Dianne worked at Modernfold in Dyersville, where she met her fiance, Ed.
She loved to go garage saling and collecting things for her crafts.
Survivors include her son, Chris (friend Cortney) Wuchter of Earlville; a granddaughter, Olivia; her fiance, Ed Pape of Manchester; her mother, Rose Hansel of Petersburg; two sisters, Carol Herman of Manchester and Elaine Hansel of Dubuque; Ed's children, Jeff, Ryan and Rebecca Pape, all of Dubuque; a niece; and several nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carl, in 1994; a brother, Robert in 1970; and a brother-in-law, Rodney Herman.
