Dianne Brown, 75, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2021, at University Hospitals, Iowa City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021, at the Anamosa Springs of Life Church, where a visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday and after 10 a.m. on Saturday. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, has taken Dianne and her family into their care. Surviving are her son, Roger "Shawn" (Mary) Grassfield, Cedar Rapids; her sister, Dixie (Mike) Brady, Springville; and her sister-in-law, Beth Mysak, Springville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Steve Mysak.
Dianne Lynn Mysak was born May 6, 1945, at Perry, Iowa. She was the daughter of Henry A. and Juanita H. Rickels Mysak. She attended the Springville Community Schools. She married Roger D. Grassfield on Aug. 14, 1961. The couple divorced in 1975. Dianne had a number of different jobs. She worked at Julin Printing in Monticello. She was a traveling salesperson for the American Tobacco Co. and for the Keebler Co. Dianne was also a part-time dispatcher for Darrah's Towing Co. in Hiawatha. She married John P. Brown in 1980 in Des Moines, Iowa. He would precede her in death in May of 1993.
The job she did most was work on the family farm with her father. She loved animals, especially horses. She and her father raised and sold registered Paint horses for many years. She also enjoyed sewing.
