DIANE SCHENK MORTON BURNSIDE Cedar Rapids Diane Schenk Morton Burnside, 60, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Lisbon, died unexpectedly Sept. 21, 2018, while vacationing in Italy with her son. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Moose Lodge in Cedar Rapids, 1820 W. Post Rd. SW. There will be a private burial at a later date. Diane is survived by her son, Zakary Morton; her stepchildren; a brother, Dave Schenk, Cedar Rapids; sisters, Deb (Bill) Werderman and Dani (Jeff) Chapin of Lisbon; nieces and nephews, Amos, Nick, Sara and Allison; several great-nieces and nephews; an uncle, Tim Sizer; and an aunt, Joan Sizer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Buddy and Pat Schenk; and her husband, Dick Morton. Diane grew up in Lisbon, graduated from Lisbon High School in 1976 and then from the University of Dubuque. She worked most recently at Hibu. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. Diane loved golf, bowling and her son Zak's musical career. The family wishes to thank Diane's co-workers at Hibu and her friends at the Moose Lodge.
