Diane Carol Harris died peacefully Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, after a brief illness. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m, Thursday at the funeral home followed by cremation.
She is survived by her husband, Buel; children, Tim (Kim) Townsend of Hurst, Texas, Michelle (John Welsh) Daniels of Cedar Rapids and Dawn (Steve) Defrense of Marion; grandchildren, Crystal, Destiney, Chante and Cherlynn; great-grandchildren, Annabell, Amara, Cruse and Landon; and sisters, Donna and Barb.
Diane Carol Dahl was born to Gilbert and Margaret (Keuhn) Dahl, on Aug. 4, 1942, in Faribault, Minn. She graduated from Faribault High School. On June 29, 1968, she married Buel Ray Harris in Rock Island, Ill. Her joy was in caring for her family, her home and in reading two chapters of the Bible daily.
She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
