Diana Dee Tharp, 70, of Cedar Rapids, passed away after a hard-fought battle with cancer on Sunday, May 14, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her children, Angie (Mike) Steele of Midlothian, Va., Gina (Doug) Martin of Mount Vernon and Jason (Kena Moore) Pedersen of Marion; her grandchildren, Lauren, Madison and McKenna Steele, Emily, Colt, Blakely and Coy Martin, and Bryar and Nash Pedersen; great-grandchildren, Braylen, Mason, Prestyn, Bryson and Dawsyn; and sisters, Becky Gerard, Joyce Amlong and Carol Peretz.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Diana was born Aug. 7, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Marvin and Rozella (Burlingham) Tharp. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1964. Diana married Bob Pedersen and they had three lovely children. They later divorced. She was a domestic goddess who loved her Pepsi.
Diana's wishes were to be cremated, and private services will be held at a later date. Arrangements made by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
