Diana Mae Yost, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 8, 2023, in her home. Celebration of Life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 12, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre located at 2121 Bowling St. SW, Cedar Rapids.
Diana was born May 9, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Arthur and Jessie (Miller) Boyer. She graduated from Kelvin Park High School in Chicago. Diana was married to Carl Yost on July 27, 1963, in Chicago. She worked for many years at West Side Transport and Yellow Book. Diana enjoyed having lunch with her Golden Girls “GG’s”, gardening, being the “neighborhood grandma”, and spending time with her family, especially the grandkids and great-grandkids.
Diana is survived by her husband, Carl; her children, Cyndi (Mike) Munsell and Carl (Angie) Yost Jr.; her grandchildren, Matthew (Allison) Marston, Christopher Marston, Colin Munsell, Mason Munsell, Ashley Yost, Taylor Yost and Jacob Yost; two great-grandchildren, Beau and Ada Marston; her sisters, Kathy Deutsch and Debbie Kriner; her sister-in-law, Denise Boyer; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Linda Siewerth; and her brother, Arthur “Pete” Boyer Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hall-Perrine Cancer Center.
