Diana Lynn Heck, 75, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022. A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with burial following.

Diana was born May 30, 1946, to Russell and Eleanor (Swenson) Myers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. After attending Alburnett High School, she married the love of her life Lon Heck on June 8, 1963, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She worked many years for the Young Parents Network and then retired from the Cedar Rapids D.O.T. She spent her retirement volunteering at the Oakland Church of the Nazarene, Celebrate Recovery Church, the Christian Motorcycle Association (CMA) and multiple jail ministries.

Diana had a smile that could light up a room. She enjoyed listening to music, cooking, volunteering, ministering, spending time with her pets and socializing with friends and family. Friends quickly became family, and she cherished the time she spent with all her family.

Diana his survived by her loving children, Vicki (Raymond) Mitchell, Brenda (Travis) Morillo and Chad (Danielle) Heck; grandchildren, Cherel Mitchell, Samson Mitchell, SrA. Alyssia Heck, SrA. Ian Heck, Kierra Heck, Janissa Morillo and Jonah Morillo; siblings, Janis Lewis and Stuart (Cindi) Myers; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lon M. Heck; and her siblings, Larry Stratton, Ron Stratton and Russ Myers.
