DeWayne Leidigh, 82, died of natural causes on Jan. 2, 2022, in Clearwater, Fla.
DeWayne Leidigh was born May 10, 1939, in Robins, Iowa, to Virgle and Emma Leidigh. DeWayne was happily married to Judith (Oliphant) Leidigh for 63 loving years while raising three beautiful daughters together.
DeWayne was a loyal member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 234, retiring from Modern Piping as a heavy equipment operator. His family and friends will always remember him as "Silver Fox" and "Old Guy." He was a great family man, an extremely loving father and had a heart of gold. DeWayne's contagious smile will definitely be remembered and missed by all.
DeWayne was preceded in death by his parents, Virgle and Emma (Frost) Leidigh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two brothers, one sister, one granddaughter and two great-grandsons.
DeWayne is survived by his wife, Judie Leidigh; daughters, Roxanne Ellison, Becci (Stewart) Smith and Lisa LeMaster (Rance); nine grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Russ (Judy) Leidigh and Sharon McMurrin.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Iowa later this year.
