Verlin A. Deutscher, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away suddenly Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009.
He is survived by his daughters, Virginia (Steven) Michalicek of Cedar Rapids and Merry of Tulsa, Okla.; a son, Layne (Emily) of Dallas, Texas; eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Kay.
Funeral arrangements are pending in Glen Ellyn, Ill. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
