Dettbarn, Mabel
Mabel Dettbarn, 93, of Edgewood, died at the Guttenberg Care Center on Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at the United Methodist Church in Edgewood, with Pastor Mike Jackson officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Edgewood and after 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial: Edgewood Cemetery.
Mabel is survived by five children, Carl (Shirley) Dettbarn of Horntown, Va., Darlene Everett of Edgewood, Robert (Wanda) Dettbarn of Guttenberg, Kenneth (Gwen) Dettbarn of Elkader and Dean (Jean) Dettbarn of Prairie du Chien, Wis.; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and one sister, Edith Smith of Cedar Rapids.
Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer in 2008; her parents; two brothers, Merton and Frank Cole; one sister, Hazel Horstman; and one grandson in infancy.
