Derynck, Evelyn
Evelyn Derynck, 79, of Clarence, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Services: 1 p.m. Friday at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence, by the Rev. Victor Young. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lowden. Visitation: 11:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; a daughter, Pam (Don) Casteel of Warren, Mich.; two sisters Irene Derynck of Clarence and Shirley Hansen of Cedar Rapids; a grandchild and three great-grandchildren.
Born Aug. 27, 1930, in Lowden, the daughter of Julius and Ranelda (Theesfeld) Gottschalk, she married Marvin Derynck on Aug. 27, 1950, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden.
