Denver Bryce Daniels, 74, passed away Jan. 3, 2016, at a Topeka, Kan., nursing facility.
He was born March 27, 1941, in Ladora, Iowa, the son of Clement Harrison Daniels and Margaret Neola Shaull Daniels. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1964 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (accounting) degree. After college, he worked in southern California in the aviation industry. In 1966, Bryce was drafted into the Army and served until 1968 at Fort Sheridan, Ill., as a chaplain's assistant. Bryce married Sheryl Roseann Pauley of Vinton on June 5, 1970. To this union were born two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Cochrane (Nathan) of Topeka, Kan., and Jane Katherine Anabe (Joaquin) of Pittsburgh, Pa.
Bryce graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, Calif., with a Master of Divinity degree and was ordained a Presbyterian minister. He served churches in Rowley, Iowa, and Ironwood, Mich.
He is survived by Sheryl and his children; five grandchildren, Adelaide and Bethany Cochrane and Isaac, Irene and Ian Anabe; a sister, Cherie Heishman (Richard) of Greenville, S.C.; a brother, Dr. Timothy Daniels (Diane) of Storm Lake; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gary Lynn, a sister-in-law, Anita Daniels, a niece and four grandchildren.
Bryce was an avid genealogist and helped write two books concerning his family history. He was proud of his nuclear family and was thankful for his lineage.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at Ladora United Methodist Church, with family visitation at the church at 9:30 a.m. Inurnment will be in Ohio Cemetery.
