Denniston, Geraldine Mae (Gerry)
Geraldine Mae Denniston (Gerry) died peacefully in her sleep Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the age of 89.
She was born July 9, 1923, in Kingston, N.Y., to John C. Sparling and Dorothy Hurst. She retired from Rockwell International in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and later moved to Mesa, Ariz., with her husband Bill. She was a VFW Ladies Auxiliary Gold Circle member.
She is survived by her children, Ron (Barb) Fresh of Mesa, Ariz., Carolyn Hamer of Cedar Rapids, Teri Williams of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Connie (Louie) Nikodim of Arizona; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven stepchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Denniston.
Private services for the family will be held at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Mariposa Gardens Memorial Park and Funeral Care, 400 S. Power Rd., Mesa, AZ 85206; (480) 830-4422.
