Dennis Masters, 77, of Marion, passed away Monday, September 2, 2024, at the Oldorf Hospice House. Services will be held Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 11:00 am, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, Marion, Iowa. Visitation will take place from 9:00 am -10:30 am at Cedar Memorial Funeral Home prior to the service.
Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Ruth, son, Matthew Masters, of Cedar Rapids, and a daughter, Amanda (Nic) Schultz, of Marion, along with grandchildren, Michael, Madison, Cael and Hayden. Brothers; Steven (Chris) Masters, of Oelwein, and Edward (Chris) Masters, of Clear Lake, and a sister, Kathleen (David) Jarvill, of Charles City.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Debbie.
Dennis Masters was born February 27, 1947, in Oelwein, Iowa, to Delbert and Joan Masters. He graduated from Oelwein High School in 1965. Dennis married Ruth Tooman on August 30, 1969, in Waterloo, Iowa. Dennis worked for Goss Printing for 30 years and Rockwell for 10 years. He was an avid golfer, played pickleball, and enjoyed traveling especially to Florida for winters. Dennis loved to spend time with his grandkids and children, he will be missed by all those who loved and knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Salvation Army.
