Dennis Dean Forrester, 70, passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at 12:20 p.m. at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Cedar Memorial Chapel
of Memories, with the Rev. Rick Gail officiating. A visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dennis was born Sept. 8, 1945, the son of William Chester Forrester and Margaret (Zimmerman) Vitek in Belle Plaine. On March 8, 1969, he was united in marriage with Marjorie Schneider. Dennis worked at a tool grinder for Rockwell Collins for 29 years.
Surviving are his wife, Marjorie Forrester of Cedar Rapids; two children, William Forrester of Cedar Rapids and Roddney (Tara) Forrester of Gardner, Mo.; four grandchildren, Cayden, Conner, Cheyenne and Cohen; sisters-in-law, Beverly Forrester and Linda Vitek; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret; two brothers, Charlie Forrester and Gary Forrester; and sister, Joan Forrester.
