Dennis D. Reisner, 80, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Mercy Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2023. Private inurnment will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Iowa Cremation assisted him in his wishes.
Dennis was born on July 9, 1943, in Calmar, Iowa. He graduated from Winneshiek High School in 1961. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and retired from Rockwell-Collins. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, going out to eat and playing the game Farkle.
Survivors include two children, Tammy (Troy) Avis of Cedar Rapids and Robert (Rosa) Reisner of El Paso, Texas; his stepmother, Madonna; five sisters, Judy, Donna Jean, Linda, Cindy and Robin; and three brothers, Michael. Terry and Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene; his parents, Harleth and Delores; and three siblings, John, Harley and Lorie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Wounded Warriors Program.
