Dennis J. Buresh, 77, of Trinity, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Gulfside Center for Hospice Care, New Port Richey, Fla.
A memorial service will be held in Tarpon Springs, Fla., on Wednesday, March 22. Interment and a Cedar Rapids memorial service will be at a later date. Dobies Funeral Home, New Port Richey, is handling cremation.
Survivors include his wife, Marylin; a daughter, Shawna Flanders (Alan Singleton) of Punta Gorda, Fla.; a stepson, Herb (Marcia) Musser of Fairfax; a sister, Bernadine Bruch of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three nieces; and his faithful dog, Mollie.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents.
Dennis Jon Buresh was born April 18, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Jon and Emily (Bys) Buresh. He was a longtime employee of Johnson Gas Appliance until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing, trying new restaurants and taking long drives to explore new roads.
