Denise Marie Wilmoth, 48, of Wyoming, Iowa, died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014, at her home. Celebration of Life: 4 to 6 p.m. Wednes-day, Oct. 8, at the Red Cedar Lodge in Squaw Creek Park, Marion. Denise's family requests that you attend in casual dress. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her mother, Mary Pierce of Marion; children, Kaiden, Karsyn, Kolin, Lily, Ryer and Gabriel Wilmoth; her former husband, Dennis Wilmoth, all of Anamosa; sister, Danelle (Tom) Kydd and her children, Nicholas, Emily, Alison and Nathan Carney; sister, Danette (Mike) Madison and their children, Delaney and Miranda; brother, Jason (Jenna) Pierce and their son, Ean; aunts and uncles, Barbara and George Kopetsky and Gary and Marlene Winkie; and many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dennis Winkie; and grandparents, Reuben and Viola Winkie and Robert and Bessie Bittner.
Denise was born July 3, 1966, in Anchorage, Alaska, the daughter of Dennis Winkie and Mary Pierce. She graduated from Linn-Mar High School and was a dental assistant. She was a member of the Maranatha Bible Church in Cedar Rapids. Denise enjoyed country music, reading and watching movies. She was very proud of all of her children and she loved spending time with each and every one of them. Denise will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
