Denise C. Needham, 86, of Marion, passed away Friday, July 3, 2015, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 5, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, with a vigil service beginning at 4 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date at Elmwood Cemetery, Lyons, N.Y.
Survivors include her children, Robert (Tana) Needham of Greenville, Wis., Patrick (Theresa) Needham of Mukwonago, Wis., Laurie (Michael) Mitchell of Marion and Donald (Patricia) Needham of Volcano, Hawaii; grandchildren, Thomas (Chelsie) Needham, Kami (Emeka) Mordi, Kelsey Needham, Alexander and Nicholas Needham, Tricia (Casey) Kent, Kelly Mitchell (Scott Sturm), Chris (Valerie) Needham, Julie (Andrew) Nelson and Jessica Needham; five great-grandchildren; sister, Faith (Adolph) Bassenello of Akron, N.Y.; and brother, Dr. Thomas Caulfield of Lake Chautauqua, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and son, Thomas W. Needham.
Denise was born Nov. 3, 1928, in Buffalo, N.Y., the daughter of Thomas and Lillian (Coyle) Caulfield. On Nov. 15, 1952, she married William R. Needham in Buffalo. Denise worked as an administrative secretary for Iowa Electric Co. until she retired in 1996.
She was a member at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion, the Christian Women's Club, Women's Connection Group and the Golden Warblers.
Denise loved the Buffalo Bills, watching "Dancing with the Stars," swimming, theater and traveling.
Her family was the most important thing to her.
Memorials may be directed tothe Hospice House of Mercy or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Denise's memory.
