Denise Ann Grissom, 60,
passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. In honoring Denise's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at American Legion Post 298, located at 625 31st St., Marion. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Denise is survived by her husband, David Grissom of Troy Mills; daughter, Carrie Bridges of Anamosa; grandchildren, Kayla Bridges, Brooke Bridges, Dylan Melichar and Anna Melichar; mother, Antoinette Snyder of Cedar Rapids; sister, Debra (Mike) Janko of Carrollton, Texas; brother, Mike Snyder of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond "Skip" Snyder; maternal grandparents, Tony and Anna Scolaro; and paternal grandparents, Emery and Florence Snyder.
Denise was born Sept. 6, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of "Skip" and Antoinette (Scolaro) Snyder. She was a 1974 graduate of Jefferson High School. Denise was united in marriage to David Wayne Grissom on May 8, 2010, in Troy Mills. She worked as a processor for Adidas Group. She enjoyed watching the Food Network, playing games on her tablet, crocheting, fishing and collecting frogs for her collection.
