Delores T. Miller, 87, died peacefully Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at the Anamosa Care Center. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 10, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with services
immediately following at 10:30 a.m. at the chapel. Pastor Lloyd Eaken will be officiating the funeral. Burial will be at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Delores was born July 15, 1928, to parents Frank J. Nowachek and Lydia Ida Nowachek (Chihak). She married Milo Miller on Feb. 24, 1951, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She spent most of her life as a homemaker.
She was an avid crocheter and also loved flowers and gardening, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.
As a young girl, she took her first communion and confirmation in Oxford Junction. She graduated from high school in Oxford Junction in 1946, with the honor of being valedictorian of her class. Milo and Delores moved in 1994 to Anamosa, where she resided for the rest of her life. She was an active member of TOPS since 1984.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her infant son, Michael, on Jan. 20, 1952; her sisters, Angeline Robinson and Dorothy Joslin; and her brother, Donald Joslin.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews; and a brother-in-law, Dorrance Sheely.
She will be missed dearly by her friends, neighbors and family.
