Delores Marie Jensen, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at Heritage Specialty Care. Services: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor Craig Brown. Burial will be held at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery, Audubon. Friends may visit with the family from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service. Per Covid guidelines, attendees are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing.
Delores is survived by her husband, Lyle; her children, Paul (Rose Ann) Jensen, Keith Jensen and Michelle (Dan) Jungjohann, all of Cedar Rapids; her four grandchildren, Eric Jensen, Dustin Miller, Kendra (Dion) Jungjohann and Amber (Josh) Davidson; her eight great-grandchildren, Ethan, Reign, Zayla, Ahmondae, Brooklyn, Grayson, Legend and Legacy; her sister, Edna Rudnick (Harry) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and her sister-in-law, Evelyn Dammann of Overland Park, Kan.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carol Jean Jensen; daughter-in-law, Lisa Jensen; brother, Herbert Dammann; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Judy Dammann; and brother-in-law, Rein Rudnick.
Delores was born on April 12, 1929, in Manning, the daughter of Eddie and Alviena Goettsch Dammann. She graduated in 1947 from Manning High School and later married Lyle Jensen on Aug. 15, 1948, in Audubon. She retired in 1991 after 17 years in the accounting department at Nash Finch. Delores was a longtime member of First Lutheran Church.
Delores was an avid square dancer and enjoyed sewing, reading, coloring, and traveling and wintering in Arizona. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Delores's family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Care Specialty for their loving and compassionate care.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church of Cedar Rapids or the Alzheimer's Association.
