Delores Koenighain, 83, of Iowa City, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, at Mercy Iowa City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Koenighain, who passed earlier this year. Born on June 19, 1938, to Tony and Eulalia (Duwa) Morgan, Delores was a 1956 graduate of West Liberty High School. On Oct. 3, 1959, she was united in marriage to Gene Koenighain of Parnell.
She is survived by her five children, Linda (Dave) Brennan of Swisher, Gary (Karmen) Koenighain of Farmington, Utah, Laurie (Paul) Barthol of Cottage Grove, Minn., Greg (Melanie) Koenighain of Hiawatha and Tracy (Trent) DeKoter of Tiffin; and 11 grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, at Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral & Cremation Services of Lone Tree followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Lone Tree Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the U of I Children's Hospital in memory of Delores. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.
