Delores Joan Dinger, 78, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2021, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at a later date. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids assisted the family.
Delores was born Jan. 20, 1942, in Arlington, Iowa, the daughter of Elton and Marion (Clark) Hummel. She married Verl William Dinger on Jan. 7, 1967, in Oelwein, Iowa. Delores worked as a dental hygienist at Dental Associates of Cedar Rapids before retiring.
Survivors include her son, Chris Dinger; daughter, Theressa (James) Barber; granddaughter, Hayley Herman (Ryan Slaughter); and great-grandson, Kizan Herman.
Delores was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Verl.
