Delores Arlene Grulkey, 85, of Hiawatha, died Friday, January 12, 2024, in St. Luke’s Transitional Care. There will be no services. The inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include a daughter, Roxanne Grulkey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son, Steve Grulkey of Marion, Iowa, and two grandchildren, Megan and Emily of Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond Grulkey, sons, Danny Burkeen, Douglas Grulkey and David Grulkey.
Delores was born on February 3, 1938, in Jones County, Iowa, the daughter of Carl and Dorothy (Soukup) Michels. She married Raymond Ira Grulkey on August 11, 1957, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Delores was employed at Rockwell Collins from 1971-1983. She loved making quilts, car races, antiques and garage sales. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
