Delberta “Bert” R. Seltrecht, 68, died Sept. 12, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital following a short illness. A celebration of life gathering and meal will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the home of Tim and Patty Seltrecht at 5450 Vermont St. SW, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.Surviving are Merle Seltrecht and their children, Tim (Patty) Seltrecht of Cedar Rapids, Tammy (Dawn) Seltrecht of Center Point and Traci (Jason) Fine of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Todd (Tonya) Seltrecht, Samantha Seltrecht, Cameron Seltrecht, Scott Seltrecht and Dylan Fine; great-granddaughter Lillyanna Seltrecht; siblings Patricia (Don) Routson, Dennis (Shirley) Henry, Donna (Russell) Adams, Dale (Janette) Henry and Margie (Troy) Krug; her partner, Don Vranish of Cedar Rapids; close friend and roommate Merna McClain; as well as several nieces and nephews, extended family, and special friends.She was preceded in death by her parents and close friend Pam Wingett.Bert was born July 23, 1941, in Urbana, the daughter of Clara “Ruby” and Delbert Henry. She worked as the bookkeeper for Overhead Door Co. for over 30 years, and most recently was employed in housekeeping at Meadowview. Bert bowled with a very special group of friends for over 30 years. She also loved her time spent tending to her vast garden, and sitting on her deck enjoying the outdoors. She also enjoyed traveling, and weekend trips to the casino with family and friends. Above all her greatest enjoyment was the time she spent with her friends and family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, partner, and friend to many; she will be greatly missed.
