Delbert H. "Hubie" Ebsen, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha, Iowa. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories Stateroom. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Burial will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Delbert was born Aug. 12, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Hubert and Gladys (Hartson) Ebsen. After he graduated from high school, he enlisted into the United States Army and served during the Korean conflict. When he returned home, he married the love of his life Oletha Courson on Sept. 15, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Delbert gave many years of service to Cryovac. Delbert and Oletha moved to Georgia for several years after their retirement, returning to Iowa in 2008.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing, training and field trialing dogs, going to the casino and spending time with his family. He cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Stephen (Laurie) Ebsen and Kathy (Dave) Markham; grandchildren, Tony and Shay Ebsen, Jessica (Chris) Blake, Chris (Jen) Markham and Sarah Markham; and great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Alexandra Blake and Makayla Markham.
Preceding him in death were his loving wife, his parents and his three sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff of Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House for the love and care given to Delbert.
