Debra Kaye Powers, 58, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at home in the company of her children. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, details to be determined. All are welcome to attend.

She was born Nov. 27, 1963, to William Eberhardt and Hilda (Tinsley) Lenaburg in St. Louis, Mo. She married Scott Powers on Aug. 16, 1985, and had three children. She worked as a CNA and spent the last 25 years at Rockwell Collins.

She enjoyed many things: a good flannel, comfortable t-shirt, "Walking Dead" reruns, spending time with her family, arts and crafts, shopping and a little Kahlua here and there. She loved music but could never remember the name of a band … or the song. She was a hard worker, a great friend and a loving mother, wife, daughter and sister. She was funny, kind and would do anything to help another person. She had a huge impact on the lives around her and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Scott Powers; father, William Eberhardt; and sister, Sandra Oellrich.

Her memory will live on in the lives of her children, Heather (Chine) Owens, Jessica Powers and Alex (Emily) Powers; five grandchildren, Treyson, Mekah, and Elias DeGreif, Eden Johnson and Ellie Powers; a granddaughter arriving in July; mother, Hilda Lenaburg; brothers, Kevin (Deb) Tinsley, Scott Eberhardt, Tim Eberhardt and Rick (Jackie) Eberhardt; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
