DEBRA SUE CONDIT
Marion
Debra Sue Condit peacefully completed her circle of life in her home on Feb. 11, 2018, surrounded by family and longtime friends after a brief illness. Join her family in celebrating Deb's life on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Believers in Grace Fellowship, 8600 C Ave., Marion, Iowa. Her celebration will include a potluck (potbless).
Deb was born on Feb. 13, 1956, in Sac City, Iowa, the daughter of Darrell and Shirley (Walter) Kluver. She grew up in Lake View, Iowa, and attended Lake View-Auburn High School.
On Nov. 9, 1973, Deb and David M. Condit began their married life together and were blessed with Rachel, Charity, Melissa and Caleb. Together, they raised their children to love the Lord, live creatively and laugh. Residing in Whittier, Iowa, Deb was one of the threads of the community tapestry. As a young woman, she was mentored by wise and loving women, and as she matured, Deb mentored many others in the art of sewing, cooking, canning and caring for a family. Numerous people have been welcomed into the Condit home and enjoyed a delicious meal, a sense of belonging, and community.
After raising her children, Deb pursued a new path and graduated from Kirkwood Community College with a degree in interior design. She spent the last 20 years of her life working in a profession she loved. Deb was passionate about designing kitchens and dedicated herself to making her customers' dreams come true.
Those left to cherish her legacy include her husband, David "My Guy"; children, Rachel and husband Mark Schreiber of Spring Hill, Tenn., Charity and husband Chad Schroeder of Castalia, Iowa, Melissa and husband Louis M. Collins of Cedar Rapids, and Caleb and partner Rebecca Norden of Cedar Rapids. Deb loved her grandchildren, Jensen and Anna Schreiber and Chloe Schroeder. Other survivors include her father, Darrell Kluver; siblings, Cheryl (Dave) Swenson, Cindy (Tom) Shelp and Randy Kluver; many extended family; friends who felt like Deb's daughters and sons; and a host of friends.
Deb was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Kluver; sister, Diane Kluver; father-in-law, Robert Condit; and her dear grandmother, Helen Walter.
