Debra (Debbie) Dorman, 70, of Cedar Rapids, passed away, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2024. Debbie was born Dec. 19, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Ivan and Joann (Sauer) Dorman. She graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids, attended Iowa State, Portland Fashion Institute and completed her education at the University of Iowa with a teaching certificate in Iowa City, IA. Debbie worked her entire life, from working as the elevator operator at Sanford’s in high school to her last job as a Billing Analyst at Verizon.
She is survived by her twin sons, Alex and Clay Dorman; grandchildren, Roegan, Cash and Dahlia; her sister Dana Dorman of Cedar Rapids; nephew Colin Mumm (Alicia); great-niece, Ava.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Joann (Sauer) Dorman and her sister Darcy (Dorman) Mumm.
Debbie loved being a grandmother and cherished her grandchildren.
Her family was her life’s focus. She will be dearly missed!
Debbie has been cremated and at this time the family is still processing how to say goodbye.
