Deborah Lynn Morrissey, 64, of Coggon, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2016, from a brief illness at her home. Celebration of Life: 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; daughters, Renee (Jeremy) McKee of Walker and Jamie (Ben) Fiedler of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jillian and Justin McKee; sisters, Beverlee (Bob) Preuss of Independence and Jackie (Bebe) Carpenter of Independence; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois; and brothers, Ronnie and Yale.
Deborah was born March 18, 1952, in Manchester, Iowa, daughter of Charles and Mary (Flannagan) Falconer. She was a graduate of Coggon High School. On April 24, 1976, Deborah married Steven Allen Morrissey at Silver Creek. Deborah worked for over 30 years at Rockwell Collins, where she retired in 2014.
She enjoyed tending to her home and yard, her garden and flowers, traveling to Michigan with her sisters and spending weekends in Prairie du Chien. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals baseball and Iowa Hawkeyes basketball fan. Deborah especially loved spending time with her girls and grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Deborah's memory.
