Debora June Betzer, 60, of Marion, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015. Celebration of Life: 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at Red Cedar Lodge at Squaw Creek Park in Marion.
Survivors include her husband, Arnold Betzer; their children, Ed (Sherry) Betzer, Dennis (Gina) Betzer, Jonn (Terri) Betzer, Craig (Sheila) Betzer, Chris (Carol) Betzer, Darrell (Jennifer) Betzer, Doug Betzer, Allen Wood, Brian (Kristina) Wood, Malena (Jeremy) Clement and Jodi Holtz; 22 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Debora was born Sept. 19, 1955, to Elmer and June (Harris) Clinton in Big Spring, Texas. After graduating, she went to further her education on many different topics.
Deb was a hard worker. She loved gardening and had a green thumb with roses. She and her family spent many summers boating and fishing on Lake Delhi. Deb enjoyed watching her children at the races and looked forward to the Rockford Races every year. She loved to cook, travel and watch Hawkeye women's basketball.
Deb had a major impact on many children, who all called her "Mom," and had countless friends and family who will miss her very much.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society of Cedar Rapids (www.donate.cancer.org) for brain cancer research.
