She was an executive administrative assistant at Rockwell Collins for 12 years. Debi’s greatest joy was being a grandmother; she loved car rides, jamming to music, and watching her grandchildren’s soccer games. Debi also loved her 14-day annual trips to Florida. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Debi is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Tony Fawcett of Marion; son, Jason (Janie) Fawcett of Robins; three grandchildren, Addy, Greenl, and A.J. Fawcett; three siblings, Tina (Larry) Harness, Casondra Jorgensen and George (Michelle) Fields; brother-in-law, Mike (Barb) Fawcett; one very special niece, Monica Fawcett (Mike Hildenbrand) and their children, Jonathon, Nathan, Nick and Joslyn Hildenbrand; and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorrie Armstrong and Anna Marie Smith; one grandson, Ethan Fawcett; brother-in-law, Jon Fawcett; and mother- and father-in-law, Pedly and Dorothy Fawcett.
Debi had a love for her cats, and to honor that love, memorials in Debi’s memory may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society at 7411 Mount Vernon Rd. SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403, in lieu of flowers.
