Debbie Kleinendorst, 61, of Waverly, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died at her home on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, of cancer.
She was born Nov. 12, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Raymond and Verna Swain Atkins. She graduated in 1974 from Kennedy High School. She married Steve Kleinendorst on April 25, 1997, in Waverly. She was the office manager for an insurance company.
Survivors include her husband, Steve; a son, Chris Bartels, Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Jenny (Daryl) Bulle, Cedar Rapids, and Sara Bartels, Kansas City; two stepdaughters, Tressa (Chad) Mortensen, Denver, Colo., and Julia Kleinendorst, Bellingham, Wash.; two granddaughters, Carissa Mortensen and Addy Winkler; her mother, Verna Atkins, Cedar Rapids; mother-in-law, Marjorie Kleinendorst, Cedar Falls; three sisters, Linda (Tom) Koch, Ryan, Terri (Dave) Meyers and Chris (Rich) Hutchins, both of Cedar Rapids; a brother, Sam (Carisa) Atkins, Columbia, Mo.; brother-in-law, Alan (Denise) Kleinendorst, Waterloo; and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Dave) Aschoff, Ankeny.
She was preceded in death by her father; father-in-law, Melvin Kleinendorst; and two sisters, Kathy Davies and Patty Epperson.
Family services will be held with inurnment following in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
