Deanna L. Odell, 76, formerly of Greeley, Iowa, passed away at Perry County Memorial Hospital in Tell City, Ind., on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the Greeley Methodist Church with Pastor Paddy Druhl officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home in Manchester. Burial: Grant View Cemetery, Greeley.
She was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Elkader, Iowa, the daughter of Lesley and Annice (Radloff) Halverson. On Feb. 9, 1955, Deanna was united in marriage to Leonard Odell at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Four children were born to this union. They made their home together in Greeley. Deanna had been an Avon representative during these years. Leonard passed away on Dec. 16, 1994.
In 1999, Deanna moved to Tell City, Ind., to be near her daughter. While living there, Deanna had worked at Wal-Mmart as a greeter. She enjoyed reading and was a former member of Red Hat Ladies Society.
Deanna is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Annette Kimball (fiance James Lawalin) of Tell City, Ind.; her three sons, Dave (Deb) Odell of Marion, Pat (Debbie) Odell of Cedar Rapids and Tim (Diane) Odell of Greeley; seven grandchildren, Megan Lantz, Molly Augustine, Sarah Leonard, Danny Odell, Mackenzie Odell, Corey Kimball and Andrew Kimball; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Harriet (Bud) Haight of Freeport, Ill.
Deanna was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Odell in 1994; and a sister, Luella Boland.
