Dawson J. Besler, 21, of Epworth, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, from injuries suffered in an automobile-pedestrian accident on Highway 20 near Farley. Friends and relatives of Dawson may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, at Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, where a wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Services for Dawson will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 11, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Epworth, with the Rev. Michael Schueller presiding. Concelebrating will be Deacon James Kean. Burial will be held in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Epworth.
Those left to honor his memory are his parents, Dan and Marilyn Besler, and two sisters, Nikki and Amanda Besler, all of Epworth; his paternal grandmother, RoseAnn Besler of Epworth; his maternal grandfather, Kenneth Tucker of Hopkinton; his girlfriend, Morgan Elgin of Dyersville; aunts and uncles, Sue (Larry) Hillers of Delhi, Cindy (Gilbert) Kemp and Steve (Sheri) Tucker, both of Hopkinton, Merle (Deb) Besler, Bonnie (David) Coyle, Mike (JoAnn) Besler, Dick (Anne) Besler, Pat (Linda) Besler, Bill (Kelly) Besler, Donna (Mark) Nadermann and Pete (Lynn) Besler, all of Epworth, Linda Lahey of Maquoketa, LeeAnn (Troy) Cook of Bellevue, and Darlene (Craig) Kluesner and Julie (Jeremy Potter), both of Farley.
He also will be greatly missed by many beloved cousins and friends.
A Dawson J. Besler memorial fund has been established in lieu of flowers.
