Dawn L. McGuire, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral
services will be 2 p.m. Monday, July 7, at First Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Craig Brown offic-iating. Interment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
The family requests memorial donations in Dawn's name be directed to First Lutheran Church.

Dawn was born July 29, 1923, in Strawberry Point to Floyd and Esther Kamoss Snyder. She was united in marriage to F.B. Mick McGuire on March 4, 1944, in Riverside, Calif.
She worked as a secretary with Norman Eels and later CNSZ Advertising until her retirement in 1983. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and enjoyed serving as a volunteer there. Dawn also loved playing bridge with her ladies' card club. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan and affectionately referred to them as "her boys."
Dawn is survived by a son, Cevn McGuire of Hilo, Hawaii; two grandchildren, Corey (Victoria) McGuire and Casey McGuire, both of Cedar Rapids; and three great-grandchildren, Caleigh, Cole and Chloe.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; her parents; son, Michael McGuire; grandson, Chris McGuire; brothers, Marvin and Kent Snyder; and sister, Fonda Schuchmann.
