Dawn J. Barnard, 72, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Heritage Specialty Care. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Aaron (Angie) Barnard of Cedar Rapids and Brian (Melissa) Barnard of Keystone; her mother, Betty Kruse, and sister, Brenda (Gerald) Clark, all of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Dillon, Allison, Morgan and Bailey.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald.
Dawn was born on May 18, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Donald and Betty (Miene) Null. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1967and married Robert Barnard in Cedar Rapids. They were later divorced.
Dawn was a school bus driver for the Cedar Rapids Community School District for over 20 years and most recently worked at Target.
Dawn enjoyed quilting, crafts and antiques. She was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
