DAWN ELIZABETH KRAMER
Newhall
Dawn Elizabeth Kramer, 60, of Newhall, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. US Cremation Society is assisting the family.
Dawn was born Dec. 30, 1960, in Cedar Rapids, to Richard and Helen (Hamilton) Spencer. She graduated from Alburnett High School and later attended Kirkwood Community College and Mt. Mercy College. She was united in marriage to Val Kramer on Oct. 30, 1999, in Toddville, Iowa.
Most important to Dawn were her two sons. She enjoyed her pets, crafting, art, cooking and spending time with family, most of all, her grandson. You could always count on Dawn to have a story to tell and to bring a smile to your face. Dawn will be greatly missed by her family.
Dawn is survived by her husband, Val; two sons, Christopher (Amy) Cady of Marion and Jerimiah (Adrienne Christian) Cady of Palo; grandson, Aidan Cady of Marion; parents, Norman and Helen Fuller of Toddville; siblings, Jon (Teresa) Spencer of Texas and Allen (Nancy) Fuller of Toddville; along with several nieces and nephews and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Spencer.
Memorial donations in Dawn's honor can be directed to Wounded Warrior Project.
Special thanks to the hospice staff at UnityPoint Hospice Care for their care and support.
