Davidson, Charles William
Charles William Davidson died peacefully on Aug. 29, 2011, at the age of 93. A Memorial Gathering and celebration of his full and rewarding life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 1 at the Unitarian Universalist Society, 10 South Gilbert St., Iowa City.
Charles was preceded in death by Jean, his loving wife of 57 years.
He is survived by his children, Carol (Steven) Humpage of Portland, Ore., Joan Maclin (Jerry Benda) of St. Paul, Minn., and William Davidson of Nashville, Tenn.; three granddaughters, two great-grandsons, his three sisters, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the University of Iowa Law School Foundation or the Unitarian Universalist Society of Iowa City.
Lensing Funeral Service in Iowa City is handling arrangements.
