David J. Wall, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital on Friday, July 21, 2017. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.
David was born Nov. 3, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the son of James and Leta (Blockinger) Wall. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1970. In 1982, David married Kathy McAteer. He worked at St. Luke's Hospital and was a musician and artist.
David is survived by his wife, Kathy; his sons, Brent (Francine) Wall and Shawn Wall, both of Cedar Rapids; grandchild, Layla Jean Kies of Vinton; and brothers, Dan (Janey) Wall and Doug (Robin) Wall, both of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a nephew.
