David Varcoe, 88, of Satellite Beach, Fla., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, May 5, 2017, at Kindred Hospital, Melbourne, Fla.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach, Fla. Funeral service: 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, at Trinity Wellspring Church, Satellite Beach. A Celebration of Life service is planned for early June in Cedar Rapids. .
Surviving are his wife, Charron; children, Steve (Kate), Nancy (Necdet) Kurul, Paul (Tracy), Carol (Chico) Sanchez and Pete (Bonnie); 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren, with one due in August.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dorothy.
Dave was born Oct. 31, 1928, in Bloomfield, N.J. He married Charron Wright on Nov. 8, 1952. He worked at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids and Melbourne, Fla.
