DAVID THOMAS Cedar Rapids David Thomas, 67, of Cedar Rapids, teed up for the last time on Monday, May 22, 2017. Visitation: 1 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 26, with services beginning at 4:30 p.m., at the Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids. Survivors include his wife, Carole; his daughters, Kelly, Jane and Chelsie; sons, David and Jason; several grandchildren; and two brothers, Larry and Gary of Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents, Uncle Dale and countless friends. David was born Aug. 11, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Albert and Mary (Swords) Thomas. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. David worked as a sider for Home Town Restyling for 20 years. In 1999, David and Carole (Kidder) were united in marriage. David was a fun, outgoing, vicarious and social man, who loved his family. David enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing pool and cards.
